I do auto body repair in a rural area. Neighbor keeps harassing me with EPA & I am always cleared by them...?
Hello, I live in a rural area and make my living from my garage which is located close to the property line of me & my neighbor. My neighbor keeps claiming that the overspray from my painting causes him problems breathing and that it gets on his house & vehicles. This is NOT true. Other neighbors, located the same distance away, have no problems and cannot believe he is pushing things to the extent that he is. He has had the EPA come out several times and every time I have been cleared of any wrong doing or polluting. My question is: Legally, what can I do about this? Should I file a harassment charge against him and if I win...will I collect damages, or simply be able to make him desist in his behavior. For the most part, I just want him to leave me alone. But after so much harassment by him, I'm wondering if he shouldn't be financially punished....as this would really get him where he lives. He's a big skin flint, for sure. I just wonder where I stand legally. What should I do?

auto body collision repair for Porsche Boxster?
My 1999 Porsche Boxster spun out of control on a slippery road last night and I ran into a fence. The curb softened my impact but all sides of the car seemed to sustain some damage. (the front bumper and right headlight totaled) I took it to a collision repair shop today and I'm awaiting my quote. A friend told me that auto body repair is much cheaper than engine work, but this is my first car accident and I don't know what a "reasonable" price is for this kind of repair. Assuming the worst, what's a reasonable price in parts+labor to replace all the panels, fenders and bumpers + a nice coat of red paint?

Good career ideas for me?
I'm thinking of going back to school. I have completed a dental assisting program and while I enjoyed the work, dental assisting helped me to realize that I am not a "people person". I am currently a cook/dietary aide in a nursing facility. I am ready for a change! About me: I am 20 years old and female I am creative I have always been kind of a "tom boy" I need a job that isn't too routine and keeps me thinking I wouldn't like a job that requires a lot of paper work What do you think I would enjoy? I have considered culinary school, law enforcement, auto-mechanics and auto-body repair-I am looking for new ideas! Thanks in advance.

A few quick questions about working with an Auto-body repair facility?
If a vehicle was hit hard from behind, should I insist that a full ALIGNMENT was performed? What sensors in that rear bumper area might need to have been replaced that I will look for? Is it customary that upon picking up the vehicle they present you with a complete and itemized list of what repairs were performed and what parts, labor hours, etc? They told me they would "MAIL THAT TO ME." That didn't sound right. It went through the insurance so I never signed anything or saw any previous paperwork.

Do i have to be certified to work at a mechanics shop?
I am 17 and i have no experience working with auto repair but I love cars and want to get a job at a mechanics shop for the summer. Do i need to be certified in some way or are there positions in an auto body repair that do not require being certified? If i do need to be certified what does this entail? Thanks!
