What is flag rate pay, and how does it work? My uncle wants me to work with him, and that's how they get paid?
My uncle is a auto body technician, and want's me to work with him . I am wanting to work there , but I don't understand how they pay? He tried to explain but it did not make since. What is Flag Pay, flag rate, whatever it is, please explain?
No, it's not flat rate! It is flagging hours for work, I was told that if a job payed 100 hours, you take each part of that pay untill it is gone, at so much. I have no idea, thats what my uncle told me, I don't get it. Way differant from flat pay!!!
Okay I'm starting to get it. Butt see my Uncle also wants to split 40-60% for pay, should I take the offer?

Low tire pressure indicator. Nissan Frontier LE 4X4?
I have a 2006 Nissan Frontier LE ext Cab 4x4. It has a low tire pressure indicator light in the instrument cluster. I did not even know it had one until it came on (had to look in the owner?s manual to see what it was). The tire pressure was low, I assume due to the temperature change from summer to winter. I corrected the problem; however the light did not go off until I drove the truck around the block. My question is how does this system work?
Before I joined the military I was an auto body technician for 12 years so I have a good general knowledge of autos. This particular system confuses me though. I can see no wires, or lines running to the suspension hubs (except the ABS sensor wire and the brake line). The light is off and everything is fine. I am just curious how it works. I have never seen a system like this before that did not have a sensor in the wheel.
I have not teken a wheel off to look at them. If there is a wireless sensor is there anything I need to be careful if I do remove the wheel?
I got out of the auto bussiness back 97 so this is new to me. Thanks for the info. Now I know I have something else expensive that can go bad on my truck lol :-)
